[Top 5] Most Anticipated Games of 2017

Honorable Mentions!

There are a few other games that I’m really looking forward to that I thought I would mention as well – some of them are confirmed, some are still up in the air right now.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole

South Park: The Stick of Truth was one of my favorite games of 2014 – it would have been top 3 minimum if I’d done a list that year. When I heard that it was getting a sequel, I was super excited.

And then it got delayed. And then I was sad.

Hopefully the 3/31 date is actually going to happen and we don’t have any further hiccups.

Shenmue III

Ah, Shenmue III – I’ve waited with bated breath for over 10 years to finally find out where those sailors were. Hearing that Shenmue III could happen at the end of 2017 has me cautiously excited.

That’s why this is an honorable mention and not on the list – I’m extremely excited for it, but I don’t know if 2017 will actually be the year of release right now.

I hope so.

Gran Turismo: Sport

I am a huge Gran Turismo fan, and as such I’ve been waiting quite a while to see what Polyphony Digital could do with the power of the Playstation 4 behind them.

This is another game that gets cautious optimism, due to the history of Polyphony not really releasing things at the time they say they will – be it game updates, or game releases. That 2017 delay could easily be a December 2017 release, and that could easily end up turning into a 2018 release.

Bated breath.

Ghost Recon: Wildlands

Ubisoft has been doing pretty well as of late. Watch Dogs 2, The Division, The Crew, Rainbow Six: SIEGE – they’ve done some pretty good games these past couple of years.

I’ve also kind of always liked the Ghost Recon games so seeing a new one ready to release is pretty cool.

Looking forward to the new changes and new gameplay style.
